Tom Meade

Tom is a Functional Patterns Human Biomechanics Specialist and Chartered Physiotherapist

  • Human Biomechanics Specialist
  • BSc Physiotherapy RCSI
  • Certified Strength & Conditioning Coach

Biography

From a young age Tom has been passionate about health and fitness and grew up playing a wide range of sports. He went on to play senior GAA and underage soccer at a competitive level, and this was the catalyst that sparked his interest in the workings of the human body and how it relates to improvements in sporting performance.

Post-secondary school, Tom studied in the RCSI (Royal College of Surgeons Ireland), where he graduated with an honours degree in Physiotherapy. Looking to improve his knowledge regarding the body and sporting performance even further, he went on to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and open his own Therapy and Sports Performance Clinic.

In the following years, he picked up a number of injuries using traditional training methods. Whilst trying to solve his own issues but with no success, he became disillusioned with the isolated approach used to view the human body and the therapies used to treat it.

In 2016, Tom came across Functional Patterns and began to understand a new way of looking at the body. Since then he has attended numerous courses, and has trained under Naudi Aguilar to become a Human Biomechanics Specialist (HBS). This qualification is one he holds above all else as it has given him the tools to finally begin to solve his own issues, and in turn, help guide others through the process more effectively.

Tom has vast experience working with a broad range of clients from underage international soccer players to MMA fighters, as well as individuals with extensive neurological issues and chronic pain.
