Posture Correction & Realignment

We offer one to one sessions focusing on posture correction and realignment. Learn how to use strength training in a way that allows you to correct imbalances, rehabilitate injuries, and boost athleticism all at once using the innovative Functional Patterns system.

Initially, our follow up sessions consist mainly of corrective exercises, but gradually build into more intense style workouts which aim to boost athleticism as clients become more competent in their movement abilities and understanding.

After we identify what needs to improve during our initial assessment, we can generally split people’s training journey into three phases.

Phase 1:

Learn self message techniques in the form of self myofascial release in order to break up dehydrated adhesions that may be causing restriction and pain. These simple techniques are often done poorly, but when used well can set us up for more success when it comes to the next two phases. Taking time to prepare our body in the right way can in itself be extremely therapeutic and people often report feeling much better from this alone.

Phase 2:

Master FP fundamental corrective exercises. Learn how to gain better body control, and understand what positions your body should be in when doing fundamental exercises like planks, hinges and unilateral one leg stances. These exercises will teach you how to stand with better posture and set a foundation for the next phase.

Phase 3:

Build athleticism by taking the teachings from phase 2 and integrating them into full body dynamic exercises. Once you have the basics, we can start to load the body more heavily and challenge it with dynamic movements. Expect strength training done in a way that corrects imbalances rather than compound them. We use tools like cable machines, dumbbells and medicine balls as well as patented FP technology in order to give your body the right stimulus for change.
