25 Feb Pelvic Stability Improvements After 18 Months of FP!
FP Dublin practitioner Tom was lucky enough to find Functional Patterns after traditional training practices had left him with a list of injuries including low back pain and shoulder impingement. He had struggled with these issues for over 2 years, using traditional rehab techniques with little to no success.
Even as a qualified physiotherapist and strength and conditioning coach, he was struggling to understand the root of his issues. His pelvic stability and general ability to deal with compressive force of gravity have improved massively since learning Functional Patterns and becoming a certified Human Biomechanics Specialist.
Before
- Lack of pelvic stability
- Rib Cage and pelvic shifting
- Heavy impact in lumbar spine on ground contact
- Severe hip drop
After
- Improved lumbar/pelvic control
- Showed better spinal adaptability
- Improved elastic recoil
- Got rid of his hip drop
From Tom
From years of traditional lifting I started FP with a lot of issues. I was compressing my lumbar spine and had very poor pelvic and scapular stability. This was causing constant QL back aggravation and shoulder pain that I really struggled to understand even as a trained physiotherapist. Thankfully I came across Functional Patterns and since going all in have been able to rid myself of any of the issues I had previously. Not only this but it has given me the tools to get more athletic as I age.
