08 Sep Human Biomechanics Specialist: Gavin Completes His HBS1
Last week our practitioner Gavin O Neill made the long trip from Dublin to Functional Patterns HQ in Las Vegas to complete a Human Biomechanics Specialist course. The course was a practical course ran over 1 week in Project Function.
These courses are in very high demand, selling out and ran only a few times a year with large waiting lists. Gavin was in good company with practitioners from places all over the world like Australia, Taiwan, the US, South America, and central and eastern Europe to name a few. We were delighted to have him represent Ireland and FP Dublin and he of course did us proud.
What is a Human Biomechanics Specialist?
Human biomechanics simply put is the science of how humans move. We all have a blueprint that was given to us by nature, and by studying and applying concepts relative to this we can help people get out of pain and improve their level of athleticism whatever that may be.
This is a title given to our practitioners by Functional Patterns HQ, a company, method and system created by Naudi Aguilar in America once they have obtained a certain level of qualification. Our team are the only ones in the country of Ireland who have obtained this title, something we are very proud of.
The Team
The Team at FP Dublin have various backgrounds from Physiotherapy, to Athletic Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy and Strength and Conditioning, but all share the common title of Human Biomechanics Specialist. They all found Functional Patterns due to issues they were having themselves and a dissatisfaction with the solutions their respective fields were providing.
Each of the team is dedicated to constantly improving their craft and Gavin is the latest to make the trip to Las Vegas. Returning home with new techniques, a sharper eye for detail, and ready to help his clients get results like the ones you see on this site.
Future Training
This was a big step in Gavin’s education with Functional Patterns ,and he and the rest of the team will continue to travel to Las Vegas yearly to progress through the curriculum laid out by Naudi Aguilar. It is hugely important for us a practice to constantly have our practitioners upskill in order to be able to give our clients the absolute best and most up to date techniques.
